My Story

My name is Daniel Yaw Buah a.k.a Yaw Niel, born in Ghana and based in Northern Ireland, United Kingdom. Like most photographers, I started taking photos with my Motorola L6 in 2010 back in high school. I have always had the mindset of saving memories. I believe memories make us appreciate how far we've come as humans. Final year, I printed these images and shared it among my classmates. I still recall the joy as if it was yesterday.

Fast forward to 2014, I began college studying Bachelor of Science Physician Assistantship Studies. I got the chance to join our church media and had access to one camera ( Canon 750d ). I didn't get the settings but I pretty much took images of anything my eyes could see. I binge-watched youtube and read tons of articles online. Gradually, the photographer in me was growing. Eventually, I bought my first camera, a used Canon 7D. I shot numerous pictures and videos of church and school related programs . At the time of leaving University, I received the Student Photographer of the Year award

Photography is my life. I have developed relationships with people, collaborated with brands and received awards I never dreamt of. I do portraits, documentary, weddings and travel photography assignments worldwide. I shoot exclusively for Freepik company and contribute on Shutterstock and Adobe Stock.
